Midget C team wins Gold at Provincials

The NDLA Midget C Timbermen won the BC Championship for their division this past weekend (July 16 - 18) in Mission. Congratulations to the team!

The Nanaimo Timbermen Midget C squad won Gold on Sunday in Mission, defeating the host team 7-5.

The squad started the tournament on Friday with an upset loss to Quesnel 5-4, but got better as the weekend progressed. Nanaimo’s Midget C side bounced back Friday with a 7-4 win over Delta then picked up two blowout wins on Saturday 9-4 over North Shore and 10- 5 versus Surrey.

Nanaimo’s Will Halsall was named the tournament’s most valuable player and Sam Kludash won a sportsmanship award. Other MVP’s were Colin Zonneveld and Andrew Baldwin.
